What is the AtHome app?
The AtHome app is a version of the ggLeap software that can be downloaded and installed on a home PC for free. It is a Windows-only application. AtHome is the result of a major initiative by ggCircuit and Super League to support gaming centers and their players through current circumstances, so that everyone can continue to stay home while continuing the gaming center experience.
How does the AtHome app work for players?
Players can access our custom AtHome portal from our invite link, then download and install the app. Alternatively, you can download the app on home.ggcircuit.com after selecting our center and logging in. Once you’re in, players can see their profile, level, and scores. You can also see who else is online and receive messages. Only players with existing accounts at PlayNormal Esports will be able to use the app.
What games does the AtHome app track?
Game stats are recorded for CS:GO, Apex Legends, League of Legends, DOTA 2, Fortnite, and PUBG. Stats for Teamfight Tactics are not recorded. Both Fortnite and League of Legends are available to players for free, but they must have all other games installed on their own PCs.
What events will be available through the AtHome app?
Our initial event offering will be called the “@Home Season” and launch with Season 0 (Zero), which is an open beta. Players will compete in two separate competitions that score both individuals and centers. Cash prizes will be split between the highest-scoring gamers and the highest-scoring centers. Season 0 begins on March 31 and lasts for 3 weeks, with Season 1 beginning shortly afterwards.
How does Season 0 work?
In Season 0, players compete in two ways at the same time: with Player vs. Player Champs, and with Center vs. Center Champs. For Player vs. Player Champs, individual gamers are automatically matched based on rank and aim to score better in their games than their opponent. If their top 3 scores are higher, they win the match and move up in rank. In Center vs. Center Champs, centers across the world compete passively, as a center’s score is calculated with the top 10 scores of its players. With this system, both players and PlayNormal Esports have a chance at cash rewards.
